Our nurturing baby unit offers a warm and welcoming environment where your precious bundle can begin to explore their new world in safety and comfort.

The baby room environment has been created with careful thought and consideration for the health and safety of the children entrusted into our care. The babies’ base room has a separate changing facility and a sleep area. The room is filled with an abundance of natural light, boasting floor to ceiling windows. These windows look out directly onto our outdoor play area and the open field, our babies enjoy to watch their older peers playing and spotting dogs out on their daily walks.

As your baby grows and develops their day will be filled with activities and opportunities which are carefully planned and age appropriate. The variety of activities and resources offered include heuristic play, treasure baskets, exploration, messy play, outdoor play and walks in our beautiful surrounding environment.

Our practitioners possess the special skill, experience, calming nature and affection required when working with very young children and babies. They are consistent in their provision and offer plenty of hugs and cuddles to your little treasure. Your baby will be allocated their own special key person who gets to know them really well, understanding their wants and needs.

On joining our nursery community your child’s keyworker will work closely with you to settle your child into nursery, ensuring you are confident in our provision and that we fully understand your child’s individuality.

At Barrowford Nursery we recognise the importance of maintaining the routine which parents and carers have established with their child at home. Each parent is fully consulted about their child’s individual routine and after each session they are informed about their child’s day.

Practitioners ensure that they share time and reflect with parents regarding their child’s development.
